Four Women Lawyers Named to Finalists of Women of Influence Awards

It is nice to see four women lawyers named by the Nashville Business Journal as finalists for the 2014 Women of Influence Awards.

The awards banquet will be held on February 11, 2014 at the Renaissance Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee. These four attorneys have distinguished themselves and are nominated in several categories.

In the Community Support category, both Miranda R. Christy and Jimmie Lynn Ramsaur are nominated.
Attorney Miranda R. Christy  is an attorney who practices with Stites & Harbison, PLLC .

Ms. Christy is a member of the firm’s Real Estate and Banking Service Group. She focuses her practice on substantial real estate  transactions. She along with her law partner, Julina Bibb, contribute significant pro bono services to support the Civil War Trust. In additional to being named a finalist, she was declared a “Rising Star” by the Mid-South Super Lawyers publication.

Attorney Miranda Christy

Also nominated in the Community Supporter category is Assistant U.S. Attorney Jimmie Lynn Ramsaur. With over 20 years in the Attorney General’s Office, Ms. Ramsaur focuses on criminal prosecutions of white-collar fraud, including bank fraud and wire fraud. She has also used the provisions of the Racketeer Influence and Corruption Act (commonly referred to as “RICO”) to prosecuted a major street gang on narcotics cases. Since 1999 she has served the legal profession and particularly Tennessee lawyers as a member of the Tennessee Bar Association’s Ethics and Professionalism Standing Committee.

Attorney Andrea Perry has been nominated in the Family Business category.  Ms. Perry practices law with Bone McAllester Norton, PLLC.  Ms. Perry’s primary practice area is real estate and commercial lending.  She also assists tax-exempt organizations.    You can view Andrea’s LinkedIn profile here.

Andrea and her husband Phil, joined together to complete the American Stroke Association’s Disney Marathon where she was running in honor of her mom who was a stroke survivor.
In the Non-Profit Leader Category, the Nashville Business Journal named female lawyer Patricia Head Moskal as a finalist. Attorney Moskel is a partner at the well known Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP firm. She has over 25 years of experience “in the trenches” in business and commercial litigation.

She has earned the respect of her peers as well. She was name as one of The Best Lawyers in America® in the areas of Commercial Litigation, Insurance Law and Tax Controversy Litigation in 2014.
